She was no more than 10 years old when she got into her mother’s makeup bag to try on a lipstick that piqued her interest. It was the ‘magic lipstick’ that ruled the time. They came in two colours green and blue, but when applied, the lips were red. It was that single moment that changed her life.
Yahneake took every opportunity she could to play with her mother’s makeup and as she grew older, she started experimenting with lipgloss and mascara. She hid it from her parents as she wasn’t allowed to wear makeup, but it only made her long for the day when she could finally be free to express herself.
Fast forward to 2009 when she enrolled in a professional makeup course to master her skills. She started sharing her knowledge of makeup artistry on Facebook but life as a career woman and single mom meant she didn’t have much free time to dedicate to blogging. It was not until she moved to Sweden that she decided to ‘get back to her love.’ In 2018 she started her blog and she has, over the last three years, grown a community of beauty and skincare lovers.
